[SPCS (St Paul’s Convent School, Secondary Section)] grateful for everything i have, lovely family, caring friends… a lot of things. but sometimes things r hard. i rlly wanna tell ppl that st. paul’s convent school secondary section isn’t rlly a good school (please DO NOT believe the lies on the internet) classmates r very friendly and helpful but teachers…… spcs seriously hired the wrong teachers. talking about the year of the Ox, during this chinese new year holiday, as usual, teachers LOVE giving holiday hw for us, almost EVERY subject. they thought that we students only got one subject to study for! they think it is needless to care about us and let me tell u about this. they think it is fine to put a holiday hw deadline in the middle of the holiday (like this holiday) they took advantage of the covid 19 situation and used the online learning platform- edmodo and kept publishing new more and more hw for us students. even though school ended on the 10/2, teachers in spcs think it’s fine to distribute and give us more hw on the 11/2 n some subjects unreasonably set the deadline for the hw during the holiday (e.g. pth n mingyi) and teachers think it’s so reasonable. regardless of the amount of hw we received every holiday, we still completed them on time and satisfied our teachers. but what did our teachers do?! they kept giving us hw but did not mark any of them! especially our english teacher! she kept giving new n more more hw but none of the assignments r marked. how ridiculous! why didn’t the school realised this problem?! well not only me, classmates r all pissed and wanna know why they do this. having holiday homework (suitable amount) is fine, but ours r just too many!!!!!!!! here r actually 20 reasons that we shouldn’t actually be assigning any hw during the holidays. here’s the link to it. enjoy. https://www.teachthought.com/pedagogy/20-reasons-you-shouldnt-assign-homework-over-the-holidays/
we even have summer holiday hw
wow. i mean two to five pieces of hw, alright. but summer holiday is when teachers LOVE giving us hw. summer holiday is used to be a time when we go on a trip with our families and hang our with our friends amd especially DO WHAT WE LIKE DOING THAT WE COULDNT POSSIBLY DO DURING SCHOOL. e.g. baking is my passion and i love baking. also building legos is my interest and but since teachers enjoy giving us work to do during the holidays, i can’t bake ending the topic of hw in spcs, this leads to some of the horrible teachers in spcs. (no names will be shown) i’m going to tell you all about four teachers (namely teacher A, teacher B)
teacher A is our chinese teacher. she is a traditional teacher who barely knows anything about tech, which makes it harder to have class online. she likes criticising us without giving us compliments “你們要接受我尖銳的批評” this is what she says to us ALL THE TIME. even through online if we answer her question only two seconds late she will say “你咁慢㗎有冇聽書㗎” she has to know that students need at least 1 sec to press the unmute button on the screen. secondly, she gives us dictations EVERY WEEK. who does she think we are? superheroes?! it’s not reasonable to have dictation once a week. furthermore, there was a classmate of mine, who couldn’t complete the assigned homework and teacher A asked her why. the classmate answered “i am sorry teacher A i was a bit busy this week i promise i’ll finish it tomorrow” do you know what did teacher A tell her? she said “oh YOURE busy?! so your parents aren’t busy? your teachers aren’t busy? you think you’re busier than them?!” wow HOW RUDE. teacher A is such contemptuous! students need to complete many tasks every day too! now, let’s go on to teacher B. teacher B is our music teacher, basically also the music teacher of the whole school (spcs only hires one music teacher). same as teacher A she LIKES criticising students without giving compliments. but there is one problem that is even worse. okay let me explain. there is a competition that we r joining and it’s a music lyrics writing competition. we are required to express our gratitude to the ppl who are continuously working hard to beat the virus and rescue the sick. we either find a pop song and make up new lyrics and sing to it or find a hymn song and do the same. we also have to create a powerpoint presentation to insert the lyrics. after we hand in the powerpoints, we are required to redo just because of one problem: the powerpoint doesn’t move itself and needs teacher B to click in order to make the audio follow along the lyrics. teacher B requires us to redo just because HER HANDS HURT CUZ OF MOUSE CLICKING. how can her hands possibly get hurt but clicking on the mouse? how sarcastic! she is just lazy that she just wanna sit there and watch the powerpoint presentations with no care. teacher B also is a VERY FORGETFUL teacher that she forgets to come to have lesson constantly. how ridiculous is this teacher!
just y’all parents n students don’t believe the lies on the internet saying about how great spcs teachers and the regulations are!
